A teleprompter for Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams.
Keep your talking points right under your camera on any video call. Browser Prompter runs in a browser window next to the call and scrolls as you speak, so you can look at the lens instead of your notes.
Free. Works in Chrome, Edge, and Safari. No account.
Set it up in two minutes
Put the script under your camera
Open Browser Prompter in its own window and make it a narrow column directly below your webcam. The closer the words are to the lens, the more natural your eye contact looks.
Move the reading line up
Open More and drag Reading line to about 20–30%. The line you are reading then sits near the top of the window, right under the camera.
Mark your camera
Turn on Lens marker in More and drag it to where your camera is. It is a small reminder of where to look between sentences.
Press Start and talk
Allow the microphone. The script follows your voice. If it stays still, your call app may be holding the microphone; switch to Autoscroll and set a speed instead.
Tips for calls
Share a window, not your screen
When you share, pick the specific window or tab you want to show so the teleprompter stays private.
Use smaller text in a narrow window
Around 40–48px fits a few words per line without making your eyes travel.
Write bullet points, not paragraphs
For meetings, short prompts you can expand on sound more natural than reading every word.
Pause hands-free
Press Space to pause and resume, or use your phone as a remote with Plus.
Questions, answered.
Can the other people on the call see it?
No. It is a separate browser window. They only see it if you share that window or your whole screen.
Does it work with the Zoom and Teams desktop apps?
Yes. Browser Prompter runs in your browser, separate from the call app. Voice following needs microphone access in the browser; in most setups both can use the microphone at once.
Is it free?
Yes. The teleprompter, voice following, autoscroll, and up to 3 saved scripts are free with no account.
