Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Aurelius Omega LLC, a Texas limited liability company, for your use of Browser Prompter.

1. The service

Browser Prompter provides a local browser teleprompter. The free editor and prompt mode do not require an account. Browser Prompter Plus is an optional paid subscription. Its current features are described on the Plus page.

You must use the service lawfully and must not disrupt it, bypass access or usage controls, interfere with other users, or use it to violate another person’s rights.

2. Accounts

An account is optional for the free local teleprompter and required for Plus. You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity under your Browser Prompter account. Contact us promptly if you believe that your account was used without permission.

3. Browser Prompter Plus

Plus costs $9 USD each month or $60 USD each year, plus applicable tax. It renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until canceled. There is no free trial or automatic usage overage charge.

Browser-native speech recognition and manual prompting remain available without Plus where supported.

We can change or replace a service provider or technical implementation when reasonably necessary. We will not materially reduce a paid billing period without a reasonable remedy.

4. Payment and tax

Stripe processes subscription payments and provides Checkout, invoices, and billing management. You authorize Stripe to charge the payment method that you provide for each renewal. You are responsible for applicable taxes that are not collected at Checkout.

Payment failures can pause paid features. You can update your payment method through Stripe’s hosted Customer Portal.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel renewal at any time through the Customer Portal. Normal cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Plus remains active through that paid-through date, including the rest of a paid year. You can restore a pending cancellation before the period ends.

Charges are generally non-refundable except where applicable law requires a refund. Contact support@browserprompter.com about duplicate charges, billing errors, or exceptional circumstances. We will review those requests individually.

6. Your scripts

You keep your rights in your scripts. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process, transmit, and return content when you choose a feature that sends content to Browser Prompter.

Signing in or subscribing does not automatically upload a browser-local script. Local scripts remain under your browser’s storage controls until you choose to move them to your cloud library.

With Plus, scripts you create or move to your cloud library are stored by Browser Prompter together with their earlier versions. When Plus ends, your cloud scripts stay available read-only for at least 30 days so you can open, download, or delete them. After that we may delete them. Deleting a cloud script deletes all of its versions.

Local browser scripts are not deleted because a subscription ends. You are responsible for keeping backups that you need; every script can be downloaded as a Markdown file.

7. Third-party services

The service uses providers such as Cloudflare, Stripe, and Google. Their systems can process data as described in our Privacy Notice. Browser-native speech recognition can use a service controlled by your browser vendor.

8. Service availability

We work to keep Browser Prompter available, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Internet services, browser features, speech providers, preview models, and cloud systems can fail or change. You should keep a local or exported copy of important scripts.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Aurelius Omega LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity. Our total liability for a claim related to Plus will not exceed the amount that you paid for Plus during the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.

These limits do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.

10. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or terminate access for material misuse, legal requirements, security risks, or nonpayment. When practical, we will give notice. You can request account deletion by contacting support. Subscription cancellation and required billing records are handled before account deletion is complete.

11. Changes

We can update these terms. We will post the revised terms and update the effective date. If a material change applies to an active paid subscription, we will give reasonable notice when required.

12. Governing law

Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
