Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Aurelius Omega LLC handles information when you use Browser Prompter.
1. Local teleprompter data
The free editor stores your scripts and settings in your browser. Browser Prompter does not require an account for the editor or prompt mode. Signing in or subscribing does not automatically upload local scripts.
Browser-native speech recognition can send microphone audio to a service controlled by your browser vendor. Browser Prompter does not control that service.
2. Account and sign-in data
If you create an account, we process your email address, account identifier, email-verification state, session tokens, session expiry, timestamps, and limited session security data such as IP address and user agent. We use this data to provide passwordless sign-in, secure sessions, account support, and abuse prevention.
Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and device signals to prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare Email Sending delivers one-time sign-in codes. Development-only OTP logging is not used in production.
3. Billing data
Stripe processes payment details, Checkout, invoices, subscription management, and fraud controls. Browser Prompter receives and stores identifiers and subscription facts needed to provide Plus, such as a Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan, status, billing period, and cancellation state. We do not receive or store your complete card number.
4. Cloud scripts
With Plus, scripts you create or choose to move to your cloud library are sent to Browser Prompter. Cloudflare D1 stores each script’s owner, title (derived from its first line), timestamps, and version details such as word count and an optional version name. Cloudflare R2 stores the text of the current version and earlier versions in a private bucket. Scripts already in your browser are not uploaded unless you move them.
Cloud scripts and their versions are kept while you have Plus. When Plus ends, they stay available read-only for at least 30 days and can then be deleted. Deleting a cloud script deletes all of its versions, and deleting your account deletes your cloud scripts.
5. Phone remote
When a Plus account turns on the phone remote, Cloudflare Durable Objects relays commands (such as start, pause, and speed) and playback state (position, text size, and speed) between the teleprompter and the connected phone. Script text is not sent. For each remote session we store the account identifier, a device label such as “iPhone”, and hashed one-time codes. A remote session and its data are deleted when you turn off the remote, about five minutes after the teleprompter disconnects, or after 12 hours at most.
6. Operational and aggregate data
We use Umami Cloud for product analytics, loaded from our own domain and only on browserprompter.com. It does not use cookies. For each page view it records the page address (with script and session identifiers replaced and without query strings or fragments), the referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and country. Umami uses your IP address to determine the country and to count visits without cookies. We also send a small set of product events, such as opening the teleprompter, starting a session, reaching the free script limit, viewing the Plus page, starting checkout, requesting a sign-in code, signing in, and pairing the phone remote, with coarse values such as the follow mode. These events never contain script text, script titles, email addresses, or account identifiers.
Operational billing and usage records can use a stable account ID. Error logs are designed not to include secret values, script content, transcript content, payment details, or one-time codes.
7. Why we process data
We process data to provide the service that you request, perform our contract with Plus subscribers, protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, maintain business records, and improve reliability through limited aggregate measurement.
8. Service providers and disclosure
We disclose data to service providers only as needed for their work, including Cloudflare for hosting, database, script storage, the phone remote relay, bot protection, analytics, and email; Umami for product analytics; and Stripe for payments and billing. We can also disclose data when law requires it, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
These providers can process data in countries other than your own under their terms and applicable transfer safeguards.
9. Retention
Local script retention is controlled by your browser. Cloud scripts follow the retention described in section 4. Authentication and account data is retained while the account is active and as needed for security and support. Billing and transaction records are retained as required for tax, accounting, disputes, and legal compliance. Umami keeps product analytics for six months on our current plan.
10. Cookies and browser storage
Browser Prompter uses necessary session storage or cookies for sign-in and security. The editor uses browser storage for your local scripts and settings. Product analytics does not use cookies; this browser keeps a count of the days it visited so repeat use can be measured. We do not use advertising cookies.
11. Your choices and rights
You can use the free teleprompter without an account, clear local browser data through your browser, download or delete your scripts, manage billing through Stripe, and cancel renewal at any time. You can ask to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, subject to identity verification and legal retention duties.
12. Children
Browser Prompter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep access to your email account secure and keep a separate copy of important scripts.
14. Changes and contact
We can update this notice as the service or law changes. We will post the new notice and effective date. Send privacy questions or rights requests to support@browserprompter.com.
