Free online teleprompter

A teleprompter that follows your voice.

Paste your script, press start, and talk. It scrolls as you speak and keeps up when you skip a line. Free, in your browser, no account.

Works in Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Nothing to install.

How it works

Three steps to your first take.

  1. Paste your script

Write or paste it in the editor. Headings, bold text, and speaker notes all work.

  2. Press start

Allow the microphone and the teleprompter starts listening. Prefer a fixed pace? Pick autoscroll.

  3. Just talk

The script scrolls as you speak. Go off-script, skip a line, come back. It keeps up.

Features

Everything you need to read naturally on camera.

  • Follows your voice

The current word is highlighted and kept on the reading line while you speak.

  • Keeps up when you skip

Jump ahead, ad-lib, or lose your place. It finds where you are and carries on.

  • Speaker notes

Add reminders like “pause here”. They show on screen, but the teleprompter doesn’t wait for you to say them.

  • Autoscroll

A steady pace you control with a slider or the arrow keys. Works in every browser.

  • Mirror mode

Flip the text for teleprompter glass, then go fullscreen.

  • Private by default

Your scripts stay in your browser. No account, no upload, no tracking of what you write.

Made for

Anyone who speaks to a camera or a room.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is it really free?

Yes. The editor, voice following, autoscroll, mirror mode, and up to 3 saved scripts are free, with no watermark and no time limit.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the page and start. An account is only needed for Plus.

Which browsers work?

Voice following works in current Chrome, Edge, and Safari, best on a computer. Autoscroll and manual scrolling work in every modern browser, including Firefox.

Where does my audio go?

Your script never leaves your browser. Voice following uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition, which may send audio to your browser’s maker (Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge, Apple for Safari) to turn it into text. Browser Prompter never receives your audio.

Can I use it with teleprompter glass?

Yes. Open More and turn on Mirror text (or press M), then press F for fullscreen.

What does Plus add?

Unlimited scripts in a cloud library you can open on any device, version history to compare and restore drafts, and your phone as a remote control. $60 a year or $9 a month. The free teleprompter stays free.
