A teleprompter for YouTube videos.
Record talking-head videos without memorizing a word. Paste your script, put it next to your lens, and read naturally. It scrolls with your voice, and skipping or ad-libbing a line does not throw it off.
Free. Works in Chrome, Edge, and Safari. No account.
From script to first take
Write in beats
Use a heading for each section of the video. Add speaker notes like <!-- note: show the product --> for cues; they appear on screen but the teleprompter does not wait for you to say them.
Frame your shot
Put the browser as close to your camera as you can, or use teleprompter glass with Mirror text turned on. Raise the reading line so your eyes stay near the lens.
Record with your usual app
Browser Prompter is the teleprompter only. Record with your camera, phone, or OBS while it runs.
Reset between takes
Press Back to start, or double-click any word to jump there, then start again.
Tips for better takes
Keep paragraphs short
Short paragraphs give you natural places to breathe and make cuts easier in editing.
Check the length first
Use the speech length calculator to see how long your script runs before you record.
Use autoscroll for voice-overs
A steady pace can feel more even for narration. Adjust speed with the arrow keys while you read.
Start and stop from your seat
With Plus, your phone becomes a remote: start, pause, speed, and jump between paragraphs.
